PARTICIPANT AGREEMENT


 


By registering to participate, I agree to the terms of this agreement and the RULES.


  1. Official registrants must be 18 years or older. Children are encouraged to participate in the event with registrants.
  2. All paid registrants will earn virtual raffle tickets for prizes as follows:
    -1 raffle ticket per registered individual
    -2 raffle tickets per registered family/team
    -1 raffle ticket per registrant (individual or family) for each bonus photo taken and uploaded with the designated hashtag as outlined in posted challenges
  3. General photos submitted to the event page are encouraged and may come from any participant. Photos tagged as bonus challenges must be submitted by the registrant only so that Friends of the Children can assign extra raffle tickets correctly.
  4. Registrants will blur or cover the faces of individuals who are captured in photographs but not part of the registered team.
  5. By submitting photos to the event page, teams grant permission to Friends of the Children to use and share the photos.
  6. Friends of the Children will use Random#.org to draw prize basket winners from challenge photo raffle tickets submitted by 9 p.m. on December 6. Winners will be announced December 8 via Facebook. Prize winners must be 21 or older, as some prizes contain alcohol. Winners can call 541.273.2022 to claim prizes or a Friends of the Children team member will contact you via your registration information.
  7. Friends of the Children program families are allowed one team entry with a waived entry fee.
  8. Registrants and their team members will undertake Ugly Sweater activities at their own risk and are responsible for their own insurance coverage in the event of personal injury as a result of participation in event activities. Where you have registered or entered on behalf of anyone (including Registrants under the age of 18), you HEREBY WAIVE, RELEASE, COVENANT NOT TO SUE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE FRIENDS OF THE CHILDREN, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, AND ANY OTHER PERSOR OR ENTITY ASSOCIATED WITH THE EVENT,FOR ALL LIABILITIES, CLAIMS, ACTIONS, OR DAMAGES THAT YOU MAY HAVE AGAINST THEM ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH YOUR REGISTRATION AND/OR PARTICIPATION IN THE EVENT, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY LIABILITIES, CLAIMS, ATTORNEY’S FEES, ACTIONS, OR DAMAGES CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE OF THE ABOVE PARTIES (INCLUDING ANY NEGLIGENT RESCUE ATTEMPT), THE ACTION OR INACTION OF ANY OF THE ABOVE PARTIES, OR OTHERWISE.
  9. All registrants agree to follow CDC Covid-safe practices while undertaking event activities, including covering nose and mouth with a mask when around others and maintaining 6’ of distance from people not in your household.
  10. Friends of the Children shall not be held responsible for technical errors in telecommunication networks, internet access, or otherwise, preventing successful submission to receive a raffle ticket for a finished challenge.
  11. Any disputes will be resolved by the Friends of the Children Executive Board and their decision is final and binding.
  12. Friends of the Children is a 501c3 and donations may be tax deductible to the extent allowed by law (please consult your tax advisor).
